A long-term mentoring relationship for students in Grades 8–12
Most career support is a single event — a test, a session, a report. Useful for a decision that needs making this month. Not much use for the things that take years.
Personal Mentorship is the long version: one session a month with Shirish, for as long as it's useful, covering career direction, profile building and the skills that sit alongside school.
Mentorship covers the work that can't be done in one sitting

Career Direction
Revisited as your child grows, not settled once at thirteen. Each year the picture sharpens and the decision gets better.

Confidence
Built by completing difficult things, not by being told to feel it. We help your child accumulate evidence that they're capable.

Profile Building
Deciding which projects, research, internships and competitions are worth their time — and making sure they actually get done.

Accountability
A monthly check-in with someone outside the family. Students follow through differently when the commitment isn't to a parent.

Future-Skills
Writing, structured thinking, speaking to adults, managing time, handling setbacks. The capabilities that determine how far the marks take them.

Admissions Readiness
By the time applications arrive, the profile already exists. Nothing assembled in a panic in Class 12.
About Shirish Gupta
I’m Shirish Gupta, Founder of Future Ready, Career & College Admissions Mentor, and TEDx Speaker.
After working in Investment Banking with UBS in the USA, I returned to India with a different mission — to help young people become better prepared for the choices and opportunities that shape their future.
Today, I work with students and parents on career clarity, profile building, future-ready skills and college admissions — connecting the dots instead of looking at each decision in isolation.
Before anything is agreed, a conversation about your child — where they are, what they want, and whether mentorship is the right thing right now. If it isn't, we'll say so and point you elsewhere.

02 — One session a month
An hour with Shirish, online. We review what's been done, work through what's next, and agree what your child will take on before the following session.

03 — The work happens in between
The session sets direction; the month is when it gets built. That's deliberate — the aim is a student who can run their own projects, not one who needs weekly supervision.
"At a situation where as a parent I was really confused about which counselor would best guide my child for college admission, Shirish & team was the right choice. They gave unconditional support — following up every moment, helping with applications, essays, portfolio, IELTS, SAT. Couldn't thank the whole team enough."

FAQs
expand_more
How long do families usually continue?
Anything from a year to four. Some come for a specific stretch, others stay from Class 8 through to applications. No minimum commitment and no lock-in.
expand_more
Is once a month enough?
For this kind of work, yes. More frequent sessions tend to create dependence rather than capability. If something urgent comes up in between, we handle it.
expand_more
How is this different from Career Guidance?
Career Guidance answers the direction question thoroughly in one cycle — assessment, written report, debrief. Mentorship is ongoing, and covers everything that follows once the direction is set.

Does it include college admissions support?
No. Mentorship builds the profile that applications draw on. Admissions support is a separate service, and mentored students start it in a much stronger position.

My child is in Class 11. Is it worth starting?
Class 11 is an excellent time to start. Interests are clearer, your child is ready to run their own projects, and there's still a year to build something substantial before applications. The work is more focused at this stage, which usually makes it more productive.

What if my child isn't interested?
It rarely comes up. Students usually arrive curious rather than reluctant — this tends to be the first conversation about their future where nobody is instructing them, and that difference registers quickly. If your child is genuinely resistant, tell us before you commit and we'll talk about whether now is the right time.
